Uppingham Road Eyecare

All the directors at our practices have years of previous experience working in optics, including time in corporate chain opticians, which led each of us to feel disillusioned by a service that seemed rushed, impersonal and target-led. We all chose a career in optics because of its combination of science, skill and patient care, and so were soon driven to set up our own practice in order to provide a quality of service that was more in line with our own ethos and personal values.
All three of our practices were established from scratch: the first, Uppingham Road Eyecare in 1997, with Syston Eyecare following just six months later and finally Kingsthorpe Eyecare after four years. Some of the staff who joined us at the outset are still part of the team today, and we’re proud of the reputation and relationships we have built up with our patients over the years.
